Bio olive charcoal

Our olive charcoal is a very natural and surplus product in Spain. We sell it in large quantities and in briquettes. We manufacture charcoal from stones and olive charcoal.
We are the only company in the world that produces this type of charcoal with a high calorific value.

CarbOliva is a continuous pyrolysis plant that converts olive biomass into high quality biochar (#biochar) and generates steam for Acesur's pomace oil extraction process in Puente del Obispo (Jaén).

This optimised biochar production replaces part of the 700,000 tonnes per year of charcoal that the European Union imports from third countries, with the risk of deforestation and gas emissions that aggravate the climate crisis.

Adding batches of biochar to each olive tree planted in the new super-intensive plantations covering the arid areas of Andalusia is a completely circular method of CO2 reduction and a great improvement for the soil.
It is also perfect for activating and replacing anthracite coal or part of it, reducing the carbon footprint in a more than sustainable way.
